Hi, I'm Heather.

I'm a writer.

Have you ever noticed that intro blogs sound almost like your first time at a 12-step program. You introduce yourself. Give a little background. Look around awkwardly until something you say clicks with someone and a conversation is started.

Or, so you hope. Doesn't always work that way, though, does it?

I have been telling stories since before I could talk and writing them since I first picked up a crayon... or a pen, since that's what I used to scribble into all my mother's books. Yeah, she wasn't impressed, either. I figure I was just practicing for book signings later in life. Once I learned how to write, however, the stories and the worlds they were built upon, piled up. One on top of the other.

Story after story. All different genres. All different lengths. And all from my sometimes warped, sometimes sassy, always sexy, imagination. You know you've made it when someone reads a story you've written and says...

I published my first short story when I was a teenager. Many stories have been started, and finished, in the years since.

Back in 2019, I self-published my first novel, Forgotten No More. That book was the push I needed to start Wylde Thang Books, the vehicle to help me manage and publish my literary works as Heather C. (H.C.) Holmes.

Not long after I hung my shingle out, G.G. Wylde sent me her work and I fell in love with the worlds she created. I happily brought her into the fold, helping her to publish her works on Amazon and, soon, Kobo.

Then, a few months ago, another new writer came to our attention. Lylah Wylder will be joining G.G. and I here at Wylde Thang Books. She is busily writing her debut novel as we speak. I can hardly wait to read the final draft. It's gonna be a good one. I can feel it.

Writing Journal

The three of us - HC, GG, and Lylah - will all contribute to our ongoing writing journal. As we encounter things along our writing journey that we feel are of interest, we will post them here. There will be no schedule. No routine. Just... the ramblings from the sexy, intriguing minds of three beautiful, sassy, and sometimes scary, women.

Writing and Editing Tips

Writing and editing tips will be mostly written by HC, as she is our in-house editor, but you never know what GG and Lylah will want to add into this category. They're intelligent, sometimes opinionated, and always passionate about things that affect their craft.

Works of Fiction

This is, by far, the favourite of us ladies. The section where we get to share our stories and creations with you. They might be written stories. Could be audio renditions. Or even a video of some description. Who knows what you'll find here?
