It’s tough being the new writer in the library

Hello, gorgeous.
I’m here to introduce myself to the lovely fans, followers, and readers of Wylde Thang Books. My name is Lylah Wylder. I’ve been writing for more than half my life, but never published anything.
Until Heather and G.G. approached me, asking me to join them over on the other side of the unicorn rainbow. Now, there was no way I was saying no to their offer of joining them at WTB, but I’m not sure I knew what I was getting into.
In fact, I’m sure I didn’t. Those two ladies are fierce… and as crazy as marshmallow fluff on crackers. Seriously. I mean, I have never claimed to be sane, but those two? They give me a run for my money. And I love it. Their crazy complements mine.
My partner and I live as far from civilization as our jobs will allow. And, as someone who has worked remotely since the onset of COVID, that is farther than most people think. Our modest little cabin sits on a lake several hours north of the nearest city. Quiet and secluded, it gives me the freedom to be myself that living amongst society strips from me.
And the woods around our cabin give me the delicious chills that help me build the stories I love to write. Dark. Scary. Psychological. Sexually provocative. Stories that make you wonder about my mental health. Which, to be honest, I’ve worried about for years.
Do you have any idea how much it fuels my imagination to sit on the deck late at night, curled up in a blanket and writing dark, sexy fiction? Wolves howling in the distance. Small rodents scurrying through the underbrush nearby. Breeze rustling the leaves. Twigs snapping under racoon paws.
<shudder> I’m getting chills just thinking about how wonderful those nights are. Then I sit and read what I’ve written to my partner before we head to bed, where we reenact the scenes that really stick with us.
There’s nothing like having a partner who feeds my sexy, kinky side like he does. He is the yin to my yang. The mustard to my ketchup. Ribs to my barbecue sauce. I couldn’t imagine going through this life without him.
So. I have a few book ideas floating around in my mind, just waiting to be written and let loose on the world. It’s going to be a bit before those see the light of day so, until then, I will be sharing short stories with you here, on Wylde and Loving It!, the Wylde Thang Books’ blog.
My first story to be published will be live, here on the blog, on Saturday, May 31st. Tomorrow. I am so excited to get it done. It’s been in the works for a few years and I’ve been itching to polish it until it shines. Or makes you cringe. Either is perfect.
All right, I’m off to finish that story and work on my debut book. Not sure if it’ll be novella or novel length, at this point, but it’s going to be a good one. <biting back a squeal>
You take care, gorgeous, and I’ll see you when I see you. And, if you happen to be hiking in the woods up north and hear some crazy woman cackling, keep walking. It’s just me. Nothing to worry about… or is there?
Kiss Kiss,
